FAQ’s Reformer Pilates Group Fitness Classes
Frequesntly Asked Questions New to Reformer or Power Core?
It’s my first class. What should I bring?
Please bring a water bottle. We have a water refill station available. We will provide your first pair of grip socks for free, but do have premium socks available for purchase. Grip socks are required to attend class.
How long are the classes?
Expect around 45- 50 minutes of active instruction.
What should I wear?
Wear clean, comfortable, athletic style clothing. No loose or oversized clothing. Grip socks required on all reformers, no exceptions. Long hair must be secured. Remove any dangling jewelry, as it can get caught in the machine and break.
Are showers available onsite?
We have large, private restrooms available for use, but no showers at this time.
Is there Chidlcare?
No, we do not have chidlcare onsite, nor a separate, safe, area for children to play. We do allow members to bring children who are old enough to sit in a chair in the main room quietly for the duration of class. At no time is a child, or minor, allowed on the studio floor with the Reformer or any other equipment.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class start time. The instructor will show you how to safely use the reformer, areas in the studio, and discuss any relevant medical history. If you arrive late, you will be asked to reschedule. No exceptions.
I have never done Pilates or group fitness classes before. Will a regular class work for me?
Our classes are appropriate for all skill levels. The instructor will visually demonstrate every move, every time, before the class begins the exercise as a group. Instructors offer group and individual corrections throughout the session. No class is one-size-fits- all, we tailor our routines to the group!
I have an injury. Can I still participate?
Pilates is rooted in injury recovery. All instructors are trained to offer modifications as needed, which work similar muscle groups without causing further injury. Please let the instructor know of any active injuries, relevant medical history, or recent surgeries.
I am pregnant. Can I still participate?
Yes. Please notify the instructor, as some moves will need to be avoided or modified depending on your trimester.
